The Problem

Auto Insurance of America (AIA), a Vermont-based provider expanding nationwide, needed a more efficient agent platform for creating, editing, and searching insurance quotes. Their existing Web Agent Pro (WAP) system lacked user insight and was cumbersome for both agents and managers, making everyday tasks slow and difficult to navigate.

We created a comprehensive style guide to ensure consistency, accessibility, and a clean, approachable user experience across the platform.

The style guide covers all aspects of the design system, from typography, colors, and spacing to buttons, input fields, and illustrations. It ensures visual consistency, accessibility, and a welcoming, approachable interface. The logo, featuring a moving tire, communicates speed and reliability, while the sans-serif font adds comfort and trust. Accent colors like violet and tangerine highlight actions such as hovers or presses, and slightly rounded corners make components feel friendly rather than sharp. Input fields use dropdowns and autofill to save time and reduce errors. Spacing follows an 8 pt grid system for consistency, and illustrations balance AIA’s growth with their local, personal feel. We redesigned the quote workflow to make adding drivers, vehicles, and managing quotes intuitive, consistent, and efficient for agents.

A familiar and straightforward filtering system was implemented. The cards in the search results contain valuable information that is easily readable at a glance, like the quote status, value, and customer/quote info.
